Nomination of Doctor Winfred Wanjiku Gitonga as eminent Peace Ambassador of kenya

Eminent Amb Dr (h.c) Winfred Wanjiku Gitonga is a distinguished Kenyan Diplomat, eminent Peace Ambassador and visionary socio-economic entrepreneur whose life’s work centre’s on peace, equity, social justice, gender equality and Africa’s liberation through economic development. She serves as an Ambassador-at-large and Chartered fellow, Global Diplomat (Diplomatic Missions) under International Association of World Peace Advocates. She is charged to promote development of UN SDGs in Africa. She holds the esteemed position of Honorary Royal Governor General (Kenya) and Head of Missions under United Kingdoms and Monarchs of Africa Federation (UKMAF) which is a Permanent Peace- Keeping Mission dedicated to social-economic transformation of Africa.

She is an Executive Board member & Africa Chairperson of Leaders of All Nations International LOANI, a global world change movement « ALL MEANS ALL » which was established in respect to the UN Charter to propel transformative change through empowerment initiatives that respond to challenges within communities. She is Co-founder and Vice President of VisionAfric Development Ltd which was established in respect to promoting implementation of AU Agenda 2063 plus initiatives. VisionAfric Development has developed a Blue Economy Blueprint that has attracted technology expert and investment development partners for global best practices.

She is Co-founder and CEO of Ashkira Holding Ltd which has collaboration partners across the globe to promote and develop Cottage Industries, Smart Cities, Water Restoration and Purification, Green Energy, ICT and Security, Logistics and Commodity Trading for Africa economic growth.

Amb Dr Winfred spans her influence across diverse sectors such as youth and women empowerment, humanitarian advocacy, climate change and SME enterprise development

She has multiple honorary doctorates, medals and recognitions as a Global Change Maker Champion with a pronounced legacy as a transformative figure shaping Africa’s place in the global Arena.

What I  will deliver to the organization

As an entrepreneur, I am bringing over 30 years of business development having served on Key positions on the corporate world. I have nurtured leaders and especially youth into effective management leaders in diverse fields. I have managed to bring technology experts from around the world to provide their technology expertise to solutions in projects for Africa. On Blue Economy, I closely work with Lord Simon Macdonald who is an expert in matters fisheries, Aquaculture, hydroponics and Agrivonics. Other allied projects will be prioritized depending on the need and resources available for development.

In the humanitarian space where I have served over 15 years, I will build the capacity of a team that will engage in activities that advocate and promote UN SDGs such as human rights, gender equality, peace and development, enterprise development for empowerment of communities we serve.
